Associates from SJP attended a workshop on “The European Patent System and EPO Examination Practice in the Field of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Inventions” which was held at Innovation Centre, National Chemical Laboratory on 07th day of October, 2015. The speakers of the workshop were the Examiners from European Patent Office (EPO), officials from European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC).
The workshop gave us wide exposure to the architecture of the European Patent Organisation, procedure of examination of patent applications, concept of unitary patent application, their statistics in patents, articles from the laws defining novelty and inventive step, categorisation of inventions which are patentable and not patentable along with case laws says Abhijit Savadatti Patent Associate @SJP
